Cardiac Imaging
Cardiac Imaging has evolved rapidly over the past few years. Today, we have access to imaging that can substitute well for many interventional and cumbersome procedures. The key developments have been in CT and MRI. Cardiac CT and Cardiac MRI offer great promise for the assessment of all aspects of heart disease. Research and technological advances are proceeding at such a rate, that even the current "gold standard" in assessing coronary arteries, the coronary angiogram, may soon be supplanted by non-invasive imaging techniques like Cardiac CT. MDI is one of a few organisations that are able to offer the full range of cardiac imaging studies together in one place. |
