How do I have a Coronary CT Angiogram?

A Coronary CT Angiogram is a very safe procedure with ample benefits, but it should be done only with indication.
If you have not been already assessed by a doctor and advised of a need for an angiogram, we advise two routes to further investigate your heart:

Via your GP.

We advise you to consult a GP in the first instance to see whether the examination is appropriate for you. We have an in-house GP who you can consult with. Alternatively, you can discuss this with your current GP, and send us his referral letter.  We will then perform the CT Angiogram, and refer onto a specialist if necessary.

Via an Advised Screening Programme.

You may have the necessary indications for a Coronary CTA, and are looking to have a full work-up done of your cardiovascular system, as part of a medically advised preventative programme, such as that offered by iHealth.  You may approach such organisations.

Contraindication

Patients with acute coronary syndrome, classic angina symptoms or with an irregular heart rhythm may be advised not to undergo this investigation.
